The World Poker Tour has been broadcasting televised poker since 2002. 05 Rake: the real numbers
WPT Global's cash game rake is 4% across NLHE, PLO4, and PLO5 with stake-dependent caps from $0.30 at NL5 up to $100 at NL2500. That 4% base rate is a full point below the industry standard 5%, which is meaningful across a long grind. The exception is Pace (fast-fold) tables, which charge 5% with no flop-no-drop - meaning you pay rake even when no flop is dealt, which is unusual and disadvantageous for regular fast-fold players.
Tournament rake runs 9-10% at micro and low stakes buy-ins under $110, dropping to approximately 5-7% for mid and high-roller events. 07 Who WPT Global is actually good for
Tournament grinders chasing live seats: this is your room. No online platform has a better-integrated satellite path into a major live tour.
