For comparison, that is roughly 2-3% of GGPoker's peak, but the field at micro and low stakes is disproportionately soft - the Telegram recruitment model pulls recreational users who are not card-room regulars.
There is no native rakeback or VIP program built into the client. Rakeback of up to 30% is available through affiliate partners including WorldPokerDeals and GipsyTeam, paid monthly. One structural note: the $5 cap applies uniformly through NL100, which means rake-per-hand at micro stakes ($0.02/$0.05 through $0.25/$0.50) is often capped well before 5% of the pot is reached. For micro-stakes volume grinders this actually makes the effective rake rate lower than the headline 5% suggests at the smallest limits.
05 Who TON Poker is for - and who it is not for
TON Poker is the right room for three specific player profiles. First: recreational crypto holders who want to play real poker without the friction of a full KYC onboarding and fiat deposits. The Telegram-native experience removes every bureaucratic barrier that traditional rooms put between a casual player and their first hand. Second: low-stakes grinders looking for softer-than-average NL4 and NL10 fields. The Telegram recruitment funnel pulls casual players, not regulars, which means the playing standard at micro stakes is genuinely recreational. Third: players in restricted jurisdictions who cannot access licensed rooms - TON Poker accepts players from the US, UK, Germany, Spain and virtually everywhere else, with no geo-restrictions enforced.
TON Poker is not the right room for tournament specialists. As of late 2025, the MTT schedule is essentially empty - no daily real-money or free tournaments appear in the Tourney tab, a significant regression from the $1,000 weekly tournaments the site ran through 2024.
