Two of poker’s biggest names are making noise in the same WSOP grind. Phil Hellmuth said he reached Day 3 of the $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Single Draw with 13 players left, reigniting his long-running quest to finally win the 10K deuce title and add bracelet No. 18.
Heading into Day 3 @WSOP $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Single Draw: 13 players left... Bracelet number 18 would be my first Bracelet won in my sixties

Hellmuth’s post hit a familiar theme for anyone who has followed his summer routine: he is still chasing the one event he has talked about wanting since the early 1990s, and he framed this run as another shot after coming up just short in the past. With the field trimmed to the final two tables, every orbit gets magnified, especially in a format where one big decision can cost an entire summer of preparation.
Daniel Negreanu also flagged the event as absolute chaos on Day 2, saying he navigated play up to the money bubble and emerged as chip leader. Negreanu has turned his WSOP vlogs into a daily scoreboard for fans, and calling out a chip lead at this point in the tournament is a meaningful signal: the path to the payouts is cleared, and the next jumps start to matter.
CHIPLEADER... Day 2 of the $10K 2-7 Single Draw was absolute chaos as we marched toward the money bubble

The storyline now is whether either veteran can convert momentum into hardware. Hellmuth is chasing a milestone bracelet number and the personal satisfaction of finally winning the deuce event, while Negreanu is looking to keep pressure on the table as stacks shrink and pay jumps steepen. If they keep running deep, the late-stage dynamics should produce plenty of must-watch spots for mixed-game fans, even in a no limit single-draw variant.
