Paul Carr Headlines KKPT Ireland Season 2 Grand Final at Athlone Springs

The Irish KKPoker ambassador is the local face of the EUR50,000 Grand Final on May 8 to 10, with three remote Day 1s, four flights at the host venue, and online satellites running from $2.

Paul Carr's home country gets the spotlight next month. The Irish KKPoker ambassador will be the most familiar face on the rail at the KKPT Ireland Season 2 Grand Final, running May 8 to 10 at the Athlone Springs Hotel in Roscommon. KKPT is one of the few mid-stakes tour brands actively expanding into the Irish circuit right now, and Paul is the operator's primary tie-in to the local poker scene.

The Grand Final has a EUR50,000 guarantee, a EUR300 buy-in (EUR260 plus EUR40), a 30-minute clock and a 30,000 starting stack. Late registration is open through Level 9. Four Day 1 flights feed Day 2: a Friday night opener, two Saturday flights, and a Sunday morning turbo. To play KKPT events online or qualify for live, join KKPoker here.

What makes this tour stop interesting beyond the prize pool is the distribution. Three remote Day 1s on Wednesday, May 6 at 19:00 let players qualify from outside Roscommon. Dublin Poker Club in Dublin, Doyle's Poker Club in Limerick, and North West Poker in Donegal each host a flight, and bring their stack to Day 2 in Roscommon. Players who survive any flight, remote or live, combine on Saturday at 14:00 for the Day 2 restart.

For online qualifiers, KKPoker is running a EUR660 Package satellite on May 3 at 19:00 GMT for $30, with a Step 1 feeder at 17:30 for $5. The package covers the buy-in plus a two-night stay at Athlone Springs on May 8 and 9. Direct EUR300 ticket satellites run from $2 on April 28 and 30 and May 5 and 7.

Carr is one of seven KKPoker ambassadors on the PokerInfluencers roster and the only one based in Ireland. His career spans nearly two decades and over $800,000 in tracked live tournament cashes, and his presence on the local circuit gives KKPoker a credible domestic anchor for the Irish stop. The KKPT Ireland tour previously paid out EUR19,550 to Mick Graydon at the Dublin Finale, the largest individual prize in Season 1.

Full live schedule. Friday May 8: 19:00 Grand Final Day 1A. 21:00 EUR50 satellite, 5 tickets guaranteed. Saturday May 9: 12:00 Grand Final Day 1B. 15:00 EUR50 satellite, 5 tickets guaranteed. 18:00 Grand Final Day 1C. 21:00 Saturday Flyer, EUR120, 20-minute levels. Sunday May 10: 10:30 Grand Final Day 1D Turbo, 15-minute levels. 14:00 Grand Final Day 2. 15:00 Niall Murphy Cup, EUR120, 20-minute levels.

The KKPT Live League is also running through this stop, with the top 16 earning seats into a play-off tournament at the end of the season. Players can qualify directly online by signing up at KKPoker and following Carr on his X profile for satellite updates. Always gamble responsibly. For help, visit BeGambleAware.
