Faraz Quddus Jaka

Faraz Jaka was born in San Jose, California to Pakistani immigrant parents. He began playing poker during his time at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned degrees in economics and business. Jaka won the World Poker Tour Player of the Year for Season VIII (2009-2010) and his first WSOP bracelet in 2023 in the $1,500 Shootout No-Limit Hold'em event. He founded JAKA Coaching in 2021, a poker training site offering lessons and videos.
